Qualification requirements
- General Duty applicants were required to have at least five O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- Specialist applicants were required to have at least four O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics, plus relevant experience/trade tests for the specialist field.
Other requirements
- Published age range was 18–25 years for General Duty and 18–28 years for Specialists.
- Applicants had to be Nigerian citizens by birth and medically, physically and psychologically fit.
- Published General Duty minimum heights were 1.67 m for male applicants and 1.64 m for female applicants.
Documents to prepare
- NIN slip with clear photograph for later recruitment stages
- Printed recruitment/examination invitation documents
- O'Level and specialist/trade credentials used for the original application
- Other screening credentials requested through the official recruitment process
