Characters, credits and story of Son of the Soil
A soldier returns to a city filled with old threats
Son of the Soil centres on a discharged soldier who returns to Lagos. Instead of finding a secure homecoming, he confronts violence linked to old grievances and is driven to protect his sister. The conflict forces him to reconsider how much danger he can face after leaving military life.
The thriller connects personal loyalty with broader questions of justice. A veteran with experience of violence may be able to confront threats directly, but that experience does not remove the human cost of fighting to protect family.
The story is a fictional action drama. Its premise should not be mistaken for a record of one named Nigerian soldier's biography or a documentary about military discharge.
2025 action film cast and distribution
The cast includes Razaaq Adoti, Patience Ozokwor, Iretiola Doyle, Sunshine Rosman, Taye Arimoro and Damilola Ogunsi. The story's family stakes create a character-centred approach to action rather than simply connecting unrelated fight sequences.
Son of the Soil is a 2025 Nigerian movie in the existing Netflix-linked catalogue. Its title is a common phrase, so the country, year and specific story of the returning soldier should appear prominently in search metadata.
The official Netflix record is the legal viewing reference on this page. No unverified free full-film link is implied by the existence of trailers, interviews or promotional clips.
